Manual Card Readers

Sankyo's manual Card Readers/Writers are renown for their high level of functionality and quality.  Selected models are designed for use with both IC Cards and Magnetic Stripe Cards.  Sankyo limits the writing capabilities of manual readers because we primarily adhere to the philosophy that in order to ensure the highest quality and interchangeability, magnetic stripes should be written with a motorized reader.  However, a limited selection of models offer write capabilities because we recognize that some applications can accommodate the frequency variations that will result when writing with manual card motion.

Manual Card Readers are widely used in such applications as:

  •  ATM's

  • Cash Dispensers

  • Kiosk Terminals

  • POS Terminals

  • Other ID Terminals

Sankyo Card Reader/Writers include such features as:

  • Custom CMOS LSI designed to support a wider range of card speeds

  • Specially designed head mounting for handling warped cards

  • EMV '96 Ver. 3.1.1 type approved and/or compliant (selected models)
